Our goal at Symphony Financial Services, LLC. is to coach our clients towards possible financial success. We understand planning for retirement often comes with massive confusion and uncertainty. One on one experienced financial guidance to replace the confusion with understanding, turn the uncertainty into financial goals and continuing guidance in financial matters.
We believe a trustworthy relationship is paramount in any advisor and client relationship, so we take the time to truly get to know a client prior to building financial plans. Here’s what you can expect from us:
First meeting gains familiarity.
We like to meet in a client’s home in what is a friendly kitchen table conversation. During this initial conversation we get to know one another. The advisor takes notes on the client’s goals, wishes, and financial habits. We want to learn what makes each client tick financially. Since we specialize in company retirement programs, we’ll also take the opportunity to explain the newly expanded investment choices now available through the client’s employer. For out-of-state clients we initially use live webcam meetings for a face-to-face experience versus speaking on the phone. You are not charged anything for this meeting.
Second meeting lays out options. The second meeting is where decisions can materialize. During this meeting we sit down and explain customized plans including both pros and cons. The plans are driven by information we gathered during the first meeting and what the client’s company offers. If the client is comfortable and we agree to work together, we’ll prepare the required paperwork. You are not charged anything for this meeting.
Client check-in. After 3-4 months of setting the financial plan into motion, we’ll set up a meeting with the client. By this time the client will have a financial statement and we’ll explain how to read it and answer any questions. After the check-in, we want the client to be headed towards financial confidence, so we make ourselves readily available to provide additional information and answer questions. In fact, throughout the process we want to ensure our clients are comfortable in the process of saving and investing for retirement, we make ourselves available to answer questions at any time via phone or email.
We are highly experienced and qualified financial advisors. Rick Willoughby holds both AAMS and AWMA designations, while Brice Willoughby holds a PPC designation. Below you’ll find the requirements for these credited financial roles.
Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) Individuals who hold the AAMS designation have completed a rigorous course of study encompassing investments, insurance, tax, retirement, and estate planning issues.
Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA) Individuals who hold the AWMA designation have completed a rigorous course of study encompassing wealth strategies, equity-based compensation plans, tax reduction alternatives, and asset protection alternatives.
Additionally, individuals must pass examinations that test their ability to synthesize complex concepts and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations. All designee’s have agreed to adhere to Standards of Professional Conduct and are subject to a disciplinary process. Designees renew their designation every two-years by completing 16 hours of continuing education, reaffirming adherence to the Standards of Professional Conduct and complying with self-disclosure requirements.
Professional Plan Consultant (PPC) Individuals who hold the PPC designation have completed a rigorous course of study encompassing the legal and regulatory landscape and implementation of an efficient process for retirement plan administration.
Additionally, individuals must meet the experience requirement and pass an end-of-course examination that tests their ability to synthesize complex concepts and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations. Designees attest to both the Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards. The Code of Ethics consists of the tenets of ethical conduct expected of all credential holders, while the Conducts Standards pertain to any past criminal and civil litigation, regulatory events, and personal and professional conduct. PPC™ designees also have annual continuing education requirements to renew the PPC designation.
